Derek founded Quiet Nature in 1999 with an Ecosystem Management Technologist diploma. He leads large-scale ecological projects and sustainable designs, drawing on his passion for fishing, hunting, and environmental conservation to guide the company's ecological mission.
Kim Lippert
Sales & Project Management
Kim specializes in garden maintenance and design, holding degrees in Fine Arts and horticulture. With experience from the City of Toronto and GTA landscaping firms, she established Quiet Nature's Garden Maintenance Division in 2010 and focuses on sustainable landscape solutions.
Sean MacDonald
Landscape Design

We worked with Quiet Nature on a backyard project this year involving regrading and the construction of a retaining wall, a new fence, deck and patio. We enjoyed working with them from start to finish and are thrilled with how the backyard turned out. Kim was a delight to work with as a designer, and the crew were always polite, tidy, and efficient. We would definitely hire them again.

We couldn't be happier with the pond Quiet Nature built for us. Each person on the team seemed to take true pride in ownership of the final product and it shows in the results. It was a pleasure to have the guys around on site and they were all very responsive in addressing questions as they came up. Derek went above and beyond to ensure a smooth shut down for the first winter. Can't wait to skate! 100% recommend Quiet Nature.

Derek and the Quiet Nature team recently built our natural swimming pond at our cabin and we can't say enough how happy we are with how it turned out. It is stunning to look at, fits in beautifully with the natural surroundings and we had a blast swimming in it! The attention to detail and care that the team put in to the design of the pond, the waterfall was exceptional. Our expectations were exceeded.

Quiet Nature built a beautiful swimming pond for us and exceeded our expectations. They were responsive to our requests and questions and consulted us during the whole process. The crew were incredibly friendly and professional. They kept the site clean and safe throughout the whole process. The follow up, after the finished project, has been good, giving us information on how to maintain and care for the pool. I would highly recommend them for landscaping, pond or patio construction.

We live in a protected area of the Niagara Escarpment and Credit Valley so one would think you couldn't improve on the natural beauty by which we're surrounded. Quiet Nature built a natural swimming pool on our property which ties in seamlessly with the natural environment. The project was only made better by the incredible crew who were professional, thoughtful and a pleasure to be around. I would highly recommend Quiet Nature for any landscaping project.

Quiet Nature Ltd in Ayr created for us a truly breathtaking pond swimming pool, river and several waterfalls we are so very pleased with the wondrous landscape they have created for us with their designs and installation. This company is truly gifted and sooo very special and professional.. our times with the crew were a learning experience we ll always treasure They were punctual every day. Followed all safely protocol.. left the work site spotless every day. Involved us in the whole project along the way we are sooooo totally impressed and appreciative
