Services
Dustless Sanding
Our dustless sanding process utilizes high-powered vacuums to contain 95% of airborne particles during hardwood floor restoration. This method significantly reduces cleanup time while maintaining indoor air quality. Technicians use specialized equipment to level uneven surfaces and remove old finishes, typically completing projects in 1-2 days depending on scope.
Hardwood Staining
We offer 30+ standard stain colors with custom matching capabilities for personalized hardwood transformations. Our technicians apply oil-based or water-based sealers to achieve desired aesthetics while protecting wood integrity. The staining process enhances natural grain patterns and allows seamless integration with existing cabinetry or furnishings.
Floor Refinishing
Our refinishing service restores worn hardwood floors through multi-step sanding, staining, and protective coating application. Using NWFA-certified techniques, we address surface damage and uneven wear while maintaining structural integrity. The process typically includes three protective coats for lasting durability against daily use.
Coating Application
We apply premium polyurethane coatings in satin, semi-gloss, or matte finishes to protect refinished hardwood surfaces. Our three-coat system includes a sealer and two finish coats, with specialty options available for unique requirements. Proper application ensures long-lasting protection against scratches and moisture damage.
Stain Matching
Our custom stain matching service ensures seamless transitions between new and existing flooring. Technicians analyze current tones and wood types to create precise color blends. This service accommodates both standard and specialty stains, including reactive formulas for unique wood species combinations.

We absolutely love the worked completed by Scotia Floor Care Ltd. The work completed was of extremely high quality and reasonably priced and completed on time, not withstanding the fact that the scope of work spanned the Christmas New Years period.
Kyle was very responsive to the many questions we had, and displayed a high degree professionalism explaining why he was unable to give us exactly what we were asking for because of the current material shortage in the Covid market place, and what we were asking for could not be achieved when you are refinishing natural wood. Not withstanding this situation

We recently had our main floor refinished by Scotia Floor Care and we are extremely pleased with the results. The floor looks amazing. More importantly, we have done a lot of work with contractors recently both internally and externally. Almost all over promise and under deliver and our landscaping project took 6 months longer than it should have. Not Kyle. He showed up when he said he would be there, the job went exactly how he described it would go, and it was completed exactly when he said it would be done. It was refreshing to deal with someone who did exactly what they said they would do when

WOW WOW WOW FANTASTIC JOB !
Kyle did an absolutely amazing job bringing 125 year old hardwood floors back to "original Life" in my Victorian Heritage home (Living room, Dining room and Office /Den) . He went the extra mile and repaired some small holes left from back in the day - when electric sockets were in the floor and installed raisers. These floors look better now than the day they were installed. Kyle worked log hours on this job is a true professional with close attention to detail. I very highly recommend him and Scotia Floor Care. Again W O W !!

We had our hardwood floors refinished in March 2021. We had oak floors that had yellowed with age. We had a stain called “early American’ applied to our floors with an oil polyurethane applied for a protection.… We LOVE our new floors. You can see the care that was taken to achieve such beautiful results. I would recommend Scotia Floor Care ! Stephanie answered my inquires in a very timely manner and was always very pleasant.

Kyle was very meticulous about his work and knowledgeable as well. he advised us the best way to keep the floor looking as good as the day he finished. We are very happy with the results and love supporting local. Stefanie kept us informed of all the administrative details and she too was very helpful. The cost was very reasonable and I would highly recommend Kyle and Stefanie for any of your hardwood refinishing projects.
