Typically construction for a custom build takes about 9 months (3 months drawings & permitting - 6 months building) but this can vary depending on the intricacy of the project. Spec Homes - Spec homes are homes that are built without being pre-sold. These homes can be purchased at any stage during the build and typically have their interior finishes already selected by our in-house designer.
Depending on the stage of construction though, there may be a chance to customize some features if desired. Spec homes can be a great option for those looking for a quick possession or that are not looking to commit to a full custom build.

1. Get pre-approved for a mortgage! Knowing exactly what your budget is and what you are comfortable spending will help guide your search for a new home. If you own an existing home, investigate what you will be able to sell it for and the timing of your sale (sell first, then purchase/build, or sell during build etc.)
