RMIS Engineering's approach to roof system consulting is based on managing roof systems from design through construction and provide ongoing assessment throughout the life cycle of the roof system. Including, preventative maintenance to ensure roof systems perform and premature failure is avoided.

RMIS Engineering specializes in all low slope roofing systems including multi-ply SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene), Built-up roof (BUR), Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer) EPDM, Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Spray Polyurethane Foam-based (SPF) and sloped conventional roofing systems including metal and shingles.

The building envelope is made up of several different systems that all need to be aligned in order for the building envelope to perform.The exterior finishing's of walls are the first component of the system typically made of brick, stucco, metal cladding. The second components are fenestration's on the walls consisting of doors, windows and exterior penetrations through the walls.

Report
Our team of inspectors, conveniently located in Regina and Saskatoon, include five skilled technicians with 30+ years of experience installing various low and steep slope roof applications. Their training and designations include Red Seal Inter-Provincial Journeyman Qualification, RRO (Registered Roof Observer), HAAG Engineering Certified and IR Tech.
Inspection & Assessment
Report
Management of investigation and remediation process with roofing contractors including development of specifications for repairs to address leakage aligned with the state and condition of the roof. Follow-up review of leakage repairs to verify that work was completed in accordance to specifications.
Preventative Maintenance & Repair
Report
A preventative maintenance and repair program is essential to protect the owners investment, avoid interruption of the internal functions of the building and prevent premature failure. RMIS recommends a PM/Repair program for roof systems with significant life remaining (5 or more years). Emergency repairs may be conducted on roof systems with less than five years of life remaining depending upon the issue(s) and the interior risk.
Fall Protection Design
Report
Evaluation of the existing conditions to develop the fall protection design parameters in accordance with current codes, regulations and industry standards. Development of short and long term requirements to meet current codes and regulations and provide safe access to serviceable units. Development of window washing anchor designs in accordance with current regulations and industry standards that meet the facility owner's requirements.
Project Management
Report
Our team of project managers include Registered Roof Observers (RRO), Project Management Professionals (PMP) and HAAG Engineering Certified Inspectors. Key responsibility is to ensure that the roof and/or fall protection system installation complies with written specifications, drawings, applicable building codes, industry standards and proven technologies.
