Electronic Range Fault Codes

If your electronic clock is showing a fault code you should always check your Owner's Manual to see what problem is associated with that code. If the fault code doesn't apply to the clock then you know that the problem is somewhere else in the machine. When a fault code is associated with the clock then the first thing that you should try is to disconnect the power to your range for an hour or so.
Electric Range

Electric ovens are quite simple in design. There are a couple different types of electric ovens including the free-standing range and stove combination and wall ovens. The oven works in the same way for both types. Smaller, countertop convection ovens also operate under the same principles, although they are used for less thorough heating and cooking.
Gas Range

Gas ranges operate fairly simply. Most of the malfunctions that affect gas ranges involve the supply and ignition of gas to the burners and the oven. Gas stove have a shut off valve (source of gas) to flex steel line, connected to a pressure valve, than routed to the burner valve (4 knobs) each valve supply gas to the 4 burners.
Mechanical Dishwasher

A dishwasher combines water with detergent. It heats the mixture and sprays it against the dishes. It pumps out the dirty water and then rinses the dishes with clean water mixed with a rinsing agent. After pumping out the rinse water, the dishes are dried by either heat or air drying. The selector switch allows you to pick a variety of cycles which vary the length of wash, water temperature and drying temperature.
Mechanical Washer

Washing machines get clothing clean by plunging the clothes through the water and detergent mixture. It is the motion that helps to loosen dirt. In top loading machines, the agitator twists back and forth pulling the clothes down to the bottom of the tub. The clothes then work their way back up to the top where the agitator grabs them again.
