I recently sent some email enquiries to few glass cutting businesses in and around Vancouver; I wanted to order two small glass table tops to cover wooden nigh stand tables. Essentially an insignificant order from a financial standpoint for a glass cutting company. The only place that took the time to acknowledge and reply to my enquiry was Vancouver Glass. Vancouver Glass has been doing glass work for me for years and have always been great, fair, and with an amazing service.
Tonight our store got vandalized by someone throwing a stone at our front door shattering the glass.
I called Mike at VG and they had a guy there within the hour to clean up and secure the premises.

We started the process of ordering backsplash and mirrors last November. The communication with Sales takes ages when they respond. We are still not clear on what the price will be. The price has been changing with each communication. Also, we never got itemized price, just the total so we don't know where the price difference of 1000 dollars comes from.
The gentleman who came to take measurement was great and very polite. That is the only reason I am giving them two stars.

Fantastic service! Restoring heritage doors is a chore. Stripped paint for 4 days and then... I broke the glass. Many glass stores were not interested in my business as the job was "too small". Everyone, especially Michael, at Vancouver Glass was responsive, professional and FAST. They repaired two glass panes in two different doors IN A SINGLE DAY and get this - the total cost was LESS THAN a very reasonable estimate. Quality service all the way! Oh, and they even had treats for my dog. First class. Thanks again.

What a differenec from the last glass experiance I had with a competitor- who drilled a handle into a mirrored door causing almost instant cracking! These folks were quick to come up with a solution before I even made the work order up! And super fast ( received call in two days that the 2 projects were done.) Its one of those places that has been around forever ( apparently 50 years family owned ) and they give you the sense that your project is more than a invoice. it was super easy to load stuff off and park . We had a break in through the patio door and I called and spoke with Dave. He was very kind and understanding and they came quickly to fix and secure the door. The cost was much lower than expected. During such price gouging times..they didn't. Top notch service. Thank you for helping us during such a difficult time. If I could give ZERO star, I will do without a heartbeat.
I ordered a piece of glass original was using for counter top like a splash guard. I told one of the staff (maybe the owner) I will need to use silicone to hold the glass with the metal clamp/basket installed at bottom of the glass to the counter top.
First they told me about a week to get it done, end up a month. I don't mind waiting. Then I went there pick it up with already wrapped. I opened up, no baskets no clamps, just a piece of glass with 2 big holes.

Sadly I had to drop down my rating for this. They sent over Wayne the other day to look at a building. Wayne was very nice, professional and friendly. One of the tenants wanted a schedule of when the other glass companies were going to come in and measure her unit and I gave her a run down. Wayne must have heard 'cause when I got to the office I had an e-mail from Tom saying that they will not be providing me with a quote for the replacement 'cause they heard me say that I was getting a manufacture to come take measurements and that they would cost more. Chris, who came to conduct the estimate was punctual, polite and apparently precise.
Today, the job was completed. Chris and his young assistant were punctual and pleasant. Everything fit perfectly, so Chris was precise, indeed. They spent about 4 hours here. You can tell a lot from how people work and speak to each other. They were respectful and polite, it was nice to have these people in our home. The job looks amazing. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone. It's nice to see a company like this in our city. Keep

I needed to get a broken glass door panel replaced at my house. I called on a Monday, they told me that they'd have someone come out to measure it that week and they'd call me. When they didn't call me that week I called them the following Monday. They pretty clearly had forgotten about me, but they did get someone else out the next day, to measure it, and they said they'd get me a quote. Waited 2 weeks, no contact (again), so I called them again, and it was pretty clear they had no idea what was going on, didn't recognize

After a 3 square foot window broke on the weekend I was getting quotes of nearly $500 because of the out of hours service charges which I would not pay. I called Vancouver Glass at 8:15am, they quoted me an absolutely fantastic price to get the replacement done and Dave was at my place in his truck 90 minutes later. Very friendly, outstanding service. Will recommend these guys any time.

These guys came highly recommended... regardless, the big guy that came to fix our glass door handle at our office on Granville Island was having a bad day.
He was standing away from the door (inside the office lobby) looking at his phone. As I was walking in (from outside), I could clearly see that he was working on the door handle.
I waved and made eye contact with him and asked if I could come in. He ignored me.
Assuming all things were a go, I turned the handled and walked in.
"Oh, don't turn that." He said. "You might have just broken it."
He was clearly frustrated

I had to order some glass shelves and called around for some quotes, while Vancouver Glass was not the cheapest (price still very reasonable not much higher than the lowest), I still decided to go with Vancouver Glass because of their long years in the business. I'm very glad with this decision because of their service. I ran into some problems with my order (not their fault) and they replaced it free of charge.

We bought a beautiful dining room table, and then had our cats decide to jump all over it. So, I started calling around to see how much it would cost to have a piece of glass custom made to fit on the table. Our table is a "boat table" which means it isn't just a square or rectangle - it is rounded on all the edges.
