Jost + Architects provides architectural design and project services across Nova Scotia. The firm was established in Annapolis Royal in 1977 as Jost Architects Ltd, and operated under the direction of Harry Jost who has practiced in Nova Scotia for over 40 years. Heather Sprague joined in 2016 with 15 years of experience practicing in both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

She took responsibility for Jost + Architects in 2019 to perpetuate the firm's reputation of quality design alongside Harry, who continues to be a valued member of the team. Harry and Heather are supported by a talented, hard-working ensemble which includes an architectural designer, senior and junior technologists, and administrative personnel.

Two members of the staff are LEEDR accredited and the firm has been exploring both Passive House and Net Zero strategies as we look forward to the future of responsible building. We continuously explore new technology including 3D modelling, scanning, and printing in order to provide our clients the best possible service.

After several years abroad, Harry chose to settle into a rural lifestyle in his home province of Nova Scotia. He founded Jost Architects Ltd. and has been an advocate of architecture in rural Nova Scotia ever since.
